Title I Teacher/Instructional Coach

Winside Public School has an opening for a Title I elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position assists Title I students and their families to ensure attaining and maintaining academic success through individual and small group interventions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted, evidence-based, small group or individual interventions to students needing academic support in reading and math.
  • Use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment data to identify students and monitor progress.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze benchmark data, and adjust instruction to meet grade-level standards.
  • Work with classroom teachers to align Title I interventions with core curriculum and classroom lessons.
  • Communicate with families, providing progress updates and strategies for home support.
  • Maintain records and ensure that federal and state program requirements for student selection and service are met.
  • Attend parent teacher conferences and Title nights.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

  • College degree and appropriate teacher certification.
  • Knowledge of the principles of the reading process and how to teach it.
  • Good math skills and ability to teach math.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of state and federal policies and procedures regarding Title Programs.
  • Patience and flexibility.

Additional Information

Start date August 2026. The districts base salary for 2026-2027 is $42,000. Benefits include full-family BCBS, 6 personal days and 6 sick days, and single dental insurance.
