7-12 Instructional Coach

West Point Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled 7-12 Instructional Coach to support teachers in enhancing instructional practices in reading, math, science and overall classroom management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of middle school and High School educational principles, evidence-based instructional strategies, and excellent classroom management skills.
The instructional coach works directly with 7-12 administration to further district initiatives and to better overall instruction in the classroom. The Instructional coach will be a driver of our PLC process working with our guiding coalition. Ideal candidates would have experience with PLC’s and understand the benefits of positive collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Support & Coaching:
- Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional practices in reading and math through modeling, co-teaching, and observation.
- Analyze student data to guide instructional decisions and develop targeted interventions.
- Provide ongoing feedback, resources, and professional development aligned with district and state standards/goals.
- Behavioral Management & Interventions:
- Assist teachers in implementing behavior interventions and supports to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a consistent approach to behavior interventions across classrooms.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with administrators, teachers, and support staff to align instructional practices with district goals.
- Serve as a resource to teachers by providing research-based strategies and best practices.

West Point Public Schools has $41,300 base with a new teacher incentive program. Teachers with 2 or less years previous experience will start on Step 3 at $44,604. All years of experience are accepted, life insurance, and full family health benefits.
