Pre School Teacher
Weeping Water Public Schools is seeking a caring, energetic, and highly qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. Position Summary
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early childhood instruction that supports the academic, social-emotional, physical, and language development of young learners. The teacher will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment aligned with Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines and district expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and learning experiences.

Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and positive behavior.

Support early literacy, numeracy, communication, and motor skill development through play-based and structured learning.

Assess student growth using developmentally appropriate screening and assessment tools.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and developmental milestones.

Collaborate with families to support student learning and development.

Work cooperatively with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.

Implement accommodations and interventions as needed to support diverse learners.

Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.

Participate in professional development and district collaboration activities.
Qualifications

Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with Early Childhood or Early Childhood Inclusive endorsement (or ability to obtain).

Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices.

Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred but not required.
