Elementary Classroom Teacher (26-27 School Year)
Walthill Public School is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team!
As we prepare to open a brand-new, state-of-the-art campus in Fall 2028, this is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the educational experience of our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that fosters academic growth, cultural pride, and social-emotional development for students from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Primary Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in all core subject areas (reading, writing, math, science, social studies).

Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth and cultural awareness.

Assess student learning regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions and individualized support.

Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student success and well-being.

Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.

Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline and restorative practices.

Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Support students’ development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning skills.

Contribute to school culture by engaging in extracurricular activities, committees, and community events as appropriate.
