Secondary Social Studies Teacher
Tekamah-Herman Schools is accepting applications for a 7-12 Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid teaching certificate or permit. All certifications and certification options will be considered. Experience preferred, but not required.
Tekamah-Herman Community Schools is a progressive Class C-2 school district with a total K-12 enrollment of 531 students. Within the past few years, Tekamah-Herman has completed several remodel and addition projects including but not limited to, a state of the art Career Education Center (CEC). The CEC building features a full size auto shop with individual welding stations, a wood shop, Ag classroom, restrooms, and a commons area. Other recent additions to Tekamah-Herman’s campus include new administrative offices, weight room, a second gym, a wrestling room, two additional locker rooms and a training room, three science classrooms, and a commons area. The Tekamah area also offers a handful of local eating establishments, a new community swimming pool, recreational areas like Summit Lake and Northridge Country Club, and numerous other updated businesses on main street. In addition, Tekamah-Herman is conveniently located 45 minutes north of the Omaha metro area and 60 minutes south of Sioux City. The following extracurricular duties are available: Head Varsity Softball, Head Varsity Boys Wrestling, Head Varsity Boys Basketball, Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball, and Assistant Varsity Football.

The base salary for 2026-2027 is $40,000. The district covers the full cost of family health and single dental insurance. The negotiated agreement was updated to include a comprehensive, highly competitive, benefit package and salary structure.
