Agricultural Education Teacher & FFA Advisor
Sutherland Public Schools
Agricultural Education Teacher & FFA Advisor
2027–2028 School Year
Sutherland Public Schools has a proud tradition of agricultural education and a well-established FFA program that emphasizes student leadership, hands-on learning, personal growth, and community involvement. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and passionate educator who is committed to building on this tradition of excellence while bringing fresh ideas and opportunities to our students.
Our agricultural education program offers access to a greenhouse, providing valuable opportunities for hands-on instruction and real-world learning experiences. Sutherland’s unique location also provides exciting educational opportunities. With the Sutherland Reservoir nearby and the Gerald Gentleman Power Station in our community, students have the potential to explore real-world connections between agriculture, natural resources, energy production, environmental stewardship, and career opportunities.
One of the greatest strengths of our program is the tremendous support it receives from the Sutherland community. Our well-established FFA chapter benefits from a strong network of local agricultural producers, businesses, and dedicated FFA alumni who are eager to remain involved, share their knowledge, and help continue growing the program. These partnerships provide an outstanding opportunity for an incoming advisor to expand hands-on learning, develop meaningful community connections, and build upon the chapter’s proud history.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to developing meaningful relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. We are looking for an individual who will inspire students to explore careers in agriculture, develop leadership skills, and actively participate in FFA activities, competitions, and community service.
At Sutherland Public Schools, we take pride in providing a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff works collaboratively to create opportunities that help every student reach their full potential.
Coaching and additional extra-duty opportunities are available.
