Activities Director / Strength & Conditioning Teacher / Head Football and/or Head Boys Basketball Coach for 2027-2028

Sutherland Public Schools is seeking a motivated, organized, and passionate leader to serve as our 7–12 Activities Director and Strength & Conditioning Teacher, with opportunities to serve as Head Football Coach and/or Head Boys Basketball Coach for the 2027–2028 school year.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building a culture of excellence in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. We are looking for an individual who will inspire students, support coaches and sponsors, and promote Sailor pride throughout our school and community.

Key Responsibilities – Activities Director

• Oversee and coordinate all 7–12 athletic and extracurricular activities.

• Develop schedules, coordinate events, and maintain activity calendars and records.

• Assist in hiring, evaluating, and supporting coaches and sponsors.

• Organize event personnel, officials, and game-day operations.

• Ensure compliance with NSAA regulations, conference bylaws, and district policies.

• Promote sportsmanship, student participation, and community involvement.

Strength & Conditioning Teacher

• Develop and implement strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for students and athletes.

• Teach proper lifting techniques, injury prevention, and safe training practices.

• Collaborate with coaches to support year-round athletic development across all sports.

• Create a positive weight room culture focused on accountability, discipline, and personal growth.

Head Coaching Opportunities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to serve as Head Football Coach and/or Head Boys Basketball Coach, depending on qualifications and experience.
