First grade teacher

St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, student-centered educator to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. St. Patrick has a long rich tradition of forming disciples of Christ through rigorous academic and religious education since the early part of the 20th century. St. Patrick has a very socioeconomically diverse PK-8th student population of approximately 170 students with a strong tradition of faith that is incorporated in all that we do, every day.

Position Overview
The successful 1^st grade teacher candidate will serve as a joyful witness and educator, delivering high-quality instruction aligned to Nebraska Standards, while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment where students flourish. Collaboration with a dedicated faculty is essential to support the growth of the whole student: mind, body and soul in the light of the Gospel.

• Plan and deliver standards-based lessons that seamlessly integrate Catholic values and the beauty of our Faith across all subjects.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor growth, ensuring students get the supports that they need.
• Differentiate instruction to honor the unique, God-given gifts and learning styles of every student.
• Establish a classroom culture rooted in the Gospel, focusing on both academic excellence and the development of Christian character and social-emotional maturity.
• Collaborate with elementary colleagues, parish clergy, and support staff to provide a holistic education.
• Communicate effectively with families, recognizing and supporting them as the primary educators of their children.

Who We Seek

• A practicing Catholic in good standing who is passionate about Catholic education (preferred).
• Holds a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with an appropriate Elementary endorsement.
• Demonstrates strong instructional planning and classroom management rooted in dignity and respect.
• A commitment to professional growth, MTSS processes, and data-driven instruction to better serve our students.
