1st Grade Teacher

Position Overview

St. John Lutheran School is seeking a 1st Grade Teacher who will help students build a strong academic and faith foundation in a structured, Christ-centered classroom.

We exist to connect people in the heart of Jesus. The teacher’s role is to support that mission through daily instruction, relationships, and faith integration.

Primary Objectives (Year 1)

• Provide strong, effective instruction in all 1st grade core subjects
• Establish a structured, consistent, and well-organized classroom environment
• Build foundational reading, math, and learning skills
• Foster strong relationships with students and families
• Integrate Christian faith and Biblical truth into daily learning
• Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual growth

• Commitment to Christ-centered education and faith integration
• Ability to create structure, routine, and positive classroom culture
• Agreement with St. John Lutheran School’s Statement of Beliefs (LCMS-based)
