Kindergarten Teacher

St. Francis Elementary School is expanding.  We are launching an exciting new two-track kindergarten program and seeking a caring, energetic kindergarten teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

 

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about early childhood development and deeply committed to the mission of Catholic education. The ideal educator is a collaborative professional eager to partner with their co-teacher, colleagues, and families to nurture the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, joyful, and structured classroom environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons in core subject areas (literacy, math, religion, social studies, science)
  • Foster social–emotional skills, positive behavior, and a love of learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Use assessment data to guide instruction and communicate progress with families
  • Collaborate with co-teacher, colleagues, specialists, and administration as part of a professional learning community
  • Support and model the mission and values of St. Francis Elementary School

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood or Elementary)
  • Valid teaching certificate
  • Experience working with young children (school, daycare, preschool, or similar) preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to integrate faith and character education into the classroom
  • Collaborative, flexible, and student-centered mindset
  • Safe Environment Training required
