Teacher Aide

SENCA Head Start has Teacher Aide positions open in Falls City, Nebraska City, and Table Rock for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsible for assisting the Head Start Teacher(s) in implementing all activities and services for children and their families in a manner that is consistent with the Head Start Performance Standards and written plans. Assist Teacher with weekly lesson planning and activities for children and their families.  Prepare materials to be used in daily program. Assist Teacher in maintaining an appropriate healthy environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and assuring completion of such on a weekly or more frequent basis, including care and hygiene of areas containing classroom pets. Assist Teacher in promoting learning through modeling and demonstrating appropriate behaviors, including but not limited to, social interactions, table manners, classroom conduct, etc. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.  Must be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) within two years of hire. This position is 80% federally funded.
