Elementary Art Teacher (Part Time)
Job Overview: The Elementary Art Teacher is responsible for providing a comprehensive visual arts program for students in K-5. The teacher will develop students’ artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation for the visual arts while following the Nebraska State Standards for Visual Arts.
Instructional Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Nebraska State Standards.

Teach foundational subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies.

Foster social-emotional development and encourage positive behavior.

Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Use various research based instructional practices to meet the needs of various learners.

Develop age-appropriate lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, design, and art history.

Foster creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking through hands-on artistic experiences.

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Learners.

Assess and document student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with teachers to integrate art across the curriculum when appropriate.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and district initiatives as required for part-time certified staff.
Professional Duties:

Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and assessment data.

Prepare reports and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and behavior.

Participate in school-wide meetings, events, and other administrative activities as required.
Grades
K–5Additional Information
Base Pay: $41,300 (additional hours and experience honored on pay scale)
Insurance: Fully paid health and single dental insurance
