High School (9-12) Counselor
We are seeking a highly motivated high school (9-12) counselor with a strong desire to join a high school that is paving the way from good to great. Student-centered, collaborative counselors who can support the whole child’s growth (academically, socially, emotionally, and physically) are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have the education and experience to facilitate a comprehensive counseling program for all students, consult with parents, teachers, and staff to improve their effectiveness in supporting students, and support other school programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. MA or higher.
2. NE school counselor endorsement for at least grades 9-12.
3. Successful experience as a classroom teacher.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Plattsmouth is a rural community and has schools within 10 min. of Bellevue and 20 min. of Omaha.

Our base salary for 2026-2027 is $40,000 plus full family health insurance. The base salary for 2027-2028 will be determined through negotiations. Our 2026-2027 calendar includes 16 early release days for professional learning communities (PLCs), 9 professional development days, and 5 teacher planning days (administrators do not schedule meetings with teachers on planning days).
