Elementary Music Teacher – Patriot Elementary

Description: The fine arts are strongly supported in Papillion La Vista Community Schools, where successful music teachers help students recognize their creative abilities and understand the value of music both in daily life and as a form of personal expression. This role includes teaching basic instrumental and musical skills. The instructor will plan and deliver engaging music lessons, develop curriculum and resources, and coordinate the Elementary Music Program by aligning instruction with district goals and multicultural education initiatives.

Additionally, you will remain current in your field through ongoing professional growth and collaboration, communicate regularly with parents and staff, and contribute to building- and district-level meetings. Dependable attendance, supervisory responsibilities, and other assigned duties are also key components of this position.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • Certification: Holds or is eligible for a Nebraska Teacher’s Certificate
  • Experience: Successful completion of student teaching
