Description: The fine arts are strongly supported in Papillion La Vista Community Schools, where successful art teachers help students recognize their creative abilities and understand the value of art both in daily life and as a form of personal expression. This role combines classroom instruction with program coordination, giving students opportunities to explore a variety of mediums while fostering creativity and self-expression. The instructor will plan and deliver engaging art lessons, develop curriculum and resources, and coordinate the Elementary Art Program by aligning instruction with district goals and multicultural education initiatives.
Additionally, you will remain current in your field through ongoing professional growth and collaboration, communicate regularly with parents and staff, and contribute to building- and district-level meetings. Dependable attendance, supervisory responsibilities, and other assigned duties are also key components of this position.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Certification: Holds or is eligible for a Nebraska Teacher’s Certificate
- Experience: Successful completion of student teaching
