Trauma-Informed School Counselor

Omaha street School is a small (35 students), private, alternative, Christian high school for students who have been failed by traditional education. We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Trauma-Informed School Counselor. In this critical role, you will be a cornerstone of our students’ well-being. You will assess emotional needs, provide essential counseling, and train staff on mental health awareness. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention for students. S
  • Recognize and respond to student mental health crises and facilitate external referrals.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and maintain accurate, confidential records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum 1-year experience (working with underserved teens preferred.)
