Middle School Math Teacher
Our middle school is growing! Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is accepting applications for a Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This can be a full time or a part time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Fosters math development, computation skills, and a love for math while integrating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum.
-Implements a comprehensive Math curriculum aligned with grade-level standards.
– Creates diverse and culturally responsive lessons that promote critical thinking, communication skills, and a love for math.
– Provides engaging instruction that caters to various learning styles and abilities.
– Effectively manages classroom activities, transitions, and behavior while fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.
– Develops and administers formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding.
– Maintains a cooperative working relationship with all stakeholders.
– Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Patience, creativity, and a passion for middle school students.
-Be a flexible team player.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Serve as a lead role model, guiding students in moral and ethical development.
-Able to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in education with a proper endorsement in Math.
Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with a proper Math endorsement.
Completion of Safe Environment Training and background check.
Previous experience teaching Math preferred.
