Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood) w/hiring bonus

Ogallala Public Schools is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood) to provide specialized instruction and support to young children with disabilities in inclusive preschool settings, ensuring compliance with IDEA, Rule 51, and Rule 11.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for preschool-aged children.
  • Provide direct and consultative special education services within inclusive classrooms.
  • Collaborate with general education PreK teachers, paras, and related service providers to support Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
  • Use evidence-based instructional strategies to address developmental delays, communication, behavior, and social-emotional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation complies with IDEA and state timelines.
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to MDT/IEP team decision-making.
  • Partner with families to support transition planning (Part C to B, PreK to Kindergarten).
  • Participate in professional development and district-wide special education initiatives.

This is a full-time position withing the Special Education Department, working closely with the Director of Student Services and building-level teams to promote the well-being and success of all students.
