Head Girls Basketball Coach

Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to serve as our Head Girls Basketball Coach. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about developing student-athletes, building a competitive program, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship.

This position currently has no teaching position to go with it, making it is ideal for educators, retired educators, alumni, or community members seeking a rewarding coaching opportunity to make a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead practices, develop skills, and teach teamwork and sportsmanship.

• Build a competitive, positive culture on and off the court.

• Mentor student-athletes and coordinate with assistant coaches and youth programs.

• Organize offseason development opportunities including camps, open gyms, and strength/conditioning collaboration.

• Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and the Activities Director.

• Ensure compliance with all NSAA, district, and school policies.

Qualifications

• Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Must obtain or hold required NSAA coaching certification and background clearance.
