Superintendent – Bloomfield Community Schools

NASB is accepting applications for Superintendent of Schools on behalf of Bloomfield Community Schools. BCS is a Preschool-12th grade school offering courses in agriculture, music, fine arts, mathematics, social sciences, literature courses, and many more. BCS offers many extracurriculars as well such as football, basketball, volleyball, one-act, speech, student council, along with others to get students involved and teach them skills to help them prosper.

Bloomfield Community School District provides educational opportunities to students in Knox and Cedar counties. The district employs highly qualified staff using effective instructional strategies where students incorporate technology across all curricular areas. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all students and to prepare them to function productively and responsibly as young adults as they enter their work or college career fields.

The community of Bloomfield offers a multitude of local amenities including restaurants, hair salons, lumber company, hardware store, auto shop, banks, law office, and various church offerings. The area also offers a swimming pool, softball fields, Ashfall State Park, Niobrara State Park, and Bloomfield is home to the Knox County Fair. The Devil’s Nest area, used as a hideout by Jesse James, is nearby along Lewis & Clark Lake.

The district is looking for applicants who can

• Focus on accountability, high academic standards and collaborative growth in teaching and district initiatives

• Manage financial challenges through fiscal accountability and provide regular updates to the board

• Foster transparent and consistent communication through open and visible leadership

• Exhibit visionary leadership in carrying out the strategic plan and creating clear goals
