Blair – Superintendent

NASB is accepting applications for Superintendent of Schools on behalf of Blair Community Schools. Blair is a Class III district and is accredited by the NDE. 

Blair Community Schools encompasses over 142 square miles and has a current enrollment of approximately 1,800 students. The district includes the South Early Learning/Preschool Center, Arbor Park and Deerfield Elementary Schools, Gerald Otte Blair Middle School, and Blair High School. All programs ensure that students can develop their potential. “A promise of quality” is something that continues to be a hallmark of the Blair Community Schools. 

Blair is located 20 miles NW of Omaha and 25 miles NE of Fremont. The City of Blair has more than 150 acres of parks and a variety of recreational facilities, a splash pad, and a city pool. The community also has a Blair Family YMCA, numerous boat ramps for the Missouri River, and a Youth Sports Complex. 

The district is looking for applicants who can: 

• Maintain long-term fiscal responsibility and sustainability by developing a balanced budget while ensuring essential needs are met including updates to safety and facilities 

• Build trust and strengthen relationships with education partners through transparent, collaborative communication 

• Improve staff and administrative retention by providing support to ensure all feel valued 

• Strengthen curriculum and instructional programming to improve academic excellence and meet student needs 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term strategic plan that addresses enrollment, budget, facility and infrastructure needs
