7-12 Special Education Teacher

Milford Junior/Senior High School, a C-1 school district located 20 miles west of Lincoln, is accepting applications for a 7-12 special education teaching position.

Desired Skills:

  1. Ability to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, behaviors, and/or activities of daily living.

  2. Ability to establish, implement, and evaluate behavior management techniques/plans.

  3. Skill in using data to drive instructional decisions.

  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  5. Ability to build positive relationships with parents.

  6. Ability to work collaboratively with general classroom staff.

  7. Ability to effectively lead IEP meetings to communicate individual learning goals to parents, teachers and administration as required by the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).

  8. Strong organization skills to maintain accurate and complete records as required by laws, policies, and regulations.

  9. Experience in life skills and transition services is preferred.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be given all years of experience on the salary schedule. 

Extra Duty Positions Available: Head Football, Head Track, Speech Coach, Assistant positions in all activities, and Junior High Athletics
