Business & Technology Teacher

Mercy High School is a Catholic, all-girls high school rooted in the charism of the Sisters of Mercy. Guided by faith, compassion, and a commitment to justice, we educate young women to become confident leaders, critical thinkers, and women of conscience who use their gifts in service of others.
We seek a Business & Technology Teacher who is passionate about empowering young women through innovative instruction, ethical leadership, and real-world application of business and technology skills—always grounded in Gospel values and Catholic social teaching.

Position Overview
The Business & Technology Teacher plays a vital role in forming students academically, spiritually, and ethically. This educator designs and delivers engaging coursework in business, entrepreneurship, and technology while helping students understand how innovation, financial literacy, and digital tools can be used responsibly to promote the common good.

Responsibilities
● Teach courses such as Business Foundations, Personal Finance, Digital Design Foundations, Accounting, 21st Century Technology, and related technology electives.
● Design learning experiences that integrate real-world problem solving, project-based learning, and current technology tools.
● Encourage ethical decision-making, leadership, and social responsibility in business and
technology contexts.
● Foster an inclusive, faith-filled classroom environment that affirms the dignity, voice, and potential of young women.
● Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum with school-wide goals, Mercy values, and Catholic social teaching.
● Actively support and model the mission of Mercy High School through participation in liturgies, service initiatives, professional development, and community events.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Education, or a related field.
● Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification).
● Experience teaching high school students preferred.
● Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to teach and mentor young women.
● Commitment to Catholic education and the holistic formation of mind, body, and spirit.
● Comfort using educational technology, digital tools, and emerging trends to enhance learning.
● Willingness to grow professionally and collaborate in a mission-driven school community.
Coaching opportunities may be available.

Applicants must complete a background check and the Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment training. Coaching opportunities may be available but not required.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  First day for new teachers is Aug, 5, 2026.
