Early Childhood Center DIrector

Meadowlark Academy is a early learning center with student 6 weeks old through Kindergarten Readiness.  We have  over 130 students with the capacity to grow to 240 students after undergoing a large facility renovation.  Our staff are experienced, caring, Christ centered, and eager to grow.  We have a state of the art facility on the lower level of Beautiful Savior in La Vista, NE and can’t wait for the exciting future with endless possibilities.

Essential Skills:

 Experience working in Early Childhood Education

 Management experience in childcare

 Experience developing positive relationships with children, families, employees and community

partners

 Proven ability to multitask, problem solve, and lead a team

 Knowledge and experience in state licensing standards

 A strong desire to learn and deliver excellence

 Practicing Christian

Essential Responsibilities:

 Provide strategic development for ongoing center objectives

 Hire and train staff

 Oversee all operations and reporting

 Maintain compliance with State licensing requirements

 Execute enrollment processes from inquiry to enrollment

 Communicate effectively—written and verbally

 Maintain accurate family and employee required paperwork and database management

 Supervise and mentor staff and identify strengths and needs to determine necessary support

 Monitor classroom practices, lesson plans, daily schedules, routines and transitions and provide

support as needed

 Be a steward of all center equipment and materials while working within an established budget

 Develop and implement procedures to improve learning outcomes, parent involvement, and staff

professional development

 Establish positive partnerships with families and establish credibility as a caring problem solver

 Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and leadership style

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in management in licensed childcare center

Education: Minimum: High School diploma and childcare management experience

Desired: Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education
