Music Teacher 5-12
Mead Public Schools is seeking applications for a 5-12 music teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This position currently includes 5-12 instrumental and 7-12 vocal music. Instrumental instruction begins in grade 5. Grades 5 and 6 have 30 minutes per day scheduled for instrumental instruction. 7-12 includes an elective junior high vocal music class, 7-8 band and 9-12 band, and 9-12 choir. There may be some flexibility that could allow this position to be part time and only 5-12 instrumental.

2026-27 Base Salary: $41,950. Up to 13 years of experience are accepted for salary placement. Fully-funded health insurance is included.
Mead is conveniently located 20 minutes west of Omaha, 20 minutes south of Fremont, and 40 minutes north of Lincoln, which provides for a number of housing options. We have a stable enrollment of approximately 250 students in grades PK-12. The benefits of our location and small size provide students, teachers, and families with a unique educational experience.
