K-6 Special Education Teacher – Unique Opportunity
Mead Public Schools has a unique opportunity for a K-6 Special Education teacher beginning with the 2026-27 school year. We are seeking the right candidate to work with an experienced and highly successful Special Education teacher. The goal is to provide a year of guidance and mentoring that will ensure a positive experience for the incoming teacher and a smooth transition that will lead to the continuation of an excellent program. Base Salary was $41,050 in 2025-26, with an anticipated increase for the upcoming school year. Up to 13 years of teaching experience are accepted for salary placement.
Fully-funded health insurance is included. Mead is conveniently located 20 minutes west of Omaha, 20 minutes south of Fremont, and 40 minutes north of Lincoln, which provides for a number of housing options. We have a stable enrollment of approximately 260 students in grades PK-12. The benefits of our location and small size provide students, teachers, and families with a unique educational experience.
