K-4 STEM Teacher
The STEM teacher will plan, teach and assess STEM classes for students in Preschool through 4th grade. The teacher will be responsible for Integrated STEM curriculum and programming that meets the NGSS and Archdiocese of Omaha Science standards. Additionally, STEM lessons will incorporate CSTA & ISTE, Archdiocesan math and ELA standards.
The STEM teacher provides instruction and works collaboratively with classroom teachers to support best instructional practices using data, analysis of school-wide trends in instruction and to make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need. Candidates should have familiarity with and/or certification with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) or willingness to be trained/certified. Experience with tools such as Google for Education, ipads/chromebooks, knowledge of programming tools for students, 3D printing, microbits, VEX robotics – 123 & Go is preferred.
