Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist

Part Time Speech Language Pathologist – 2026/2027 school year

Malcolm Public Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Speech-Language Pathologist to serve children from birth through preschool. This position will support students receiving early intervention and preschool speech-language services and will collaborate closely with families, early childhood staff, and community partners.

Days, hours, and job expectations are flexible and will be based on the availability, experience, and strengths of the selected applicant, with the potential to adjust as student needs change.  This position could include K-12 students if our student needs change over time. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy services for children birth–PreK (in the home and preschool classroom)

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as appropriate

• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and early childhood educators to support communication development
  Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and early childhood planning

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal special education requirements

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Current Nebraska Department of Education certification (or eligibility)

• Experience with early childhood and/or birth–4 services preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
