Early Childhood Special Education

Columbus Lakeview is seeking to hire an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. Lakeview is a progressive Class B public school district located just two miles north of Columbus. The district has outstanding students, dedicated staff, and excellent facilities.

Lakeview is seeking to hire a candidate who can lead and support our Early Childhood Special Education program. The candidate should have a strong background in early childhood development and special education, with the ability to build positive relationships with young learners and their families. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.

In this position, the teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students ages 3–5, collaborating with general education staff and related service providers, supporting evaluation and eligibility processes, and maintaining required documentation. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with families, staff, and outside agencies while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

 

Appropriate Nebraska certification in Early Childhood Special Education is required.
