Lead Preschool Teacher

The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role includes planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, overseeing daily classroom operations, and providing leadership and support to assistant teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards.

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Maintain daily routines and structure to support children’s learning and behavior.

  • Observe and assess children’s development and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s progress, needs, and classroom events.

  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides in the classroom.

  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health/safety guidelines.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings.

  • Model positive behavior and maintain respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.

Pay: $15.50 + per hour (based on experience)
