The mission of the Holdrege Public Schools is to empower all students to reach their full potential ~ Honor Progress Success. The Holdrege Public Schools strive to prepare students to be responsible citizens, partnering with families and the community to provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for individual growth. We focus on equipping students with knowledge and critical thinking skills so that they can thrive in an ever-changing world. Holdrege Public Schools are fully accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education and the school district was accredited by Nebraska Frameworks in 2024. Most recently in spring 2024, HPS was accredited by NeMTSS Frameworks. Holdrege Public Schools offers a comprehensive PreK-12 program, has an enrollment of approximately 1,000(PK-12) students, and is designated as a Class B or C1 school, depending on the activity, for NSAA purposes. The district’s organizational structure includes a preschool, grades K-4 elementary school, grades 5-8 middle school, and grades 9-12 high school.
