K-12 Music
High Plains Community Schools is seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate Music and Band teacher to join our team. This is a full-time position teaching general music, chorus, and band to students in grades K-12.
The responsibilities of this K-12 Music and Band Teacher position include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with district learning standards for music education. The teacher will be responsible for teaching general music, chorus, and band classes to students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. They will also coordinate and direct school band and chorus performances and concerts, as well as manage and maintain musical instruments, equipment, and classroom materials. Collaborating with other teachers and administrators to integrate music into the broader curriculum is another key responsibility. Additionally, the teacher will be expected to attend faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.

The starting base salary in the 2026-27 school year is $41,600.00. The salary schedule is 4X4.5. The package includes all benefits, LTD, and a full insurance package. The start date will be approximately August 7th, 2026.
