Due to a retirement, High Plains Community Schools is seeking a 7-12 Activities Director for the 2027-2028 school year.

We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, and highly organized candidate who is passionate about every activity students take part in. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about NSAA and conference bylaws.

The Activities Director will work closely with students, coaches, sponsors, district administration, and families, and will build partnerships in our community. The successful candidate will be committed to developing a culture of academic excellence, sportsmanship, and school pride.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop schedules for activities and athletic programs

• Coordinate transportation

• Manage the activities budget

• Schedule, maintain, and plan for facilities throughout the year

• Hire sponsors and coaches

• Assign workers to event duties

• Keep calendars, records, policies, and handbooks up to date

• Supervise event setup, teardown, and activities

• Develop safety plans for students, spectators, and staff

Qualifications

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Administrative Certificate (all should apply)

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to integrate technology into activities

• Proven ability to build culture and enthusiasm in extracurricular programs
