Elemantary Music and Theatre
Gibbon Public Schools is seeking applicants for an Elementary Music and Theatre teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate including an endorsement in K-12 Music and Theatre. The current program includes coursework in K-6 Music and 9-12 Theatre.
Gibbon is located 13 miles east of Kearney, Ne with approx 550 students prek-12 with excellent facilities and exceptional staff. Come join our FAMILY at GPS!! Coaching and extra duty positions may also be available but not required.

Salary schedule range for 2027-2028 has not been set, our current salary schedule is $41,400-$81,144, including full family health/employee dental, a $40,000 life insurance policy, LTD, sick (6)/personal leave(6) and NPERs retirement. Additional benefits available are vision, 403(b), dependent life, HSA and Flex Plan. GPS accepts all years of experience and educational advancement on the salary schedule up to a MA+36. This is a 185 day contracted position expected to begin around August 5, 2027.
