7th & 8th grade Humanities Teacher
Responsibilities
Teacher is responsible to develop a positive, engaging educational environment for students while planning and delivering active learning experiences. Duties and responsibilities of a classroom teacher include but are not limited to:
· developing open, ongoing communication with parents
· plan lessons and prepare materials
· monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback, both with report cards and on an ongoing basis
· collaborate with Jewish Studies teachers to inform and assist them toward accomplishing goals for Jewish Studies program as well as individual student goals
· develop effective classroom management
· enforce school policies
· share in staff duty schedule
· participate in all staff meetings and professional development, as assigned
· participate in parent/teacher conferences and other school events outside the regular school day schedule
· Other duties as assigned by the Head of School

Salary competitive with public schools, plus benefits, all while working in a kind, collaborative environment.
Start date of August 1, 2025, with initial one-year contract. Multi-year contracts may be available after first year.
