Substitute Teacher

Faith Christian School is seeking qualified substitute teachers to serve students in grades K–8. Substitute teachers play an important role in supporting our mission by maintaining a positive, Christ-centered learning environment when regular classroom teachers are absent.

Faith Christian School is a growing PreK–8 non-denominational Christian school located in Kearney, Nebraska. Our mission is to glorify God by equipping students to be spiritually, academically, physically, and socially excellent while developing Christ-like leaders.

Substitute teachers are expected to support this mission by modeling Christian character, maintaining classroom expectations, and ensuring continuity of learning for students.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct students using lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.

• Maintain a safe, orderly, and productive classroom environment.

• Follow school policies and procedures while managing student behavior.

• Clearly communicate instructions and expectations to students.

• Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress, behavior, and completed work.

• Demonstrate flexibility in working with different grade levels and subjects.

• Model Christ-like character and encourage respectful behavior among students.
