Job Description:
Eustis-Farnam Public Schools is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative 7-12 Special Education Teacher to join our team. This individual will work with students in grades 7 through 12, providing specialized instruction and support to help students with disabilities succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally in a general education setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in grades 7-12.

Provide direct instruction in both resource and co-taught settings.

Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lesson plans and modify classroom materials to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary.

Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and administration.

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

Implement behavioral interventions and strategies as needed to support student success.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and documentation.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education

Current Nebraska Special Education Teaching Certification (7-12).

Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities in a middle or high school setting is preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction and develop creative learning strategies.
-
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and state/national standards.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in partnership with parents.
