School Mental Health Practitioner
Educational Service Unit 5, is seeking a MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER starting the 2026-2027 school year to work alongside the ESU5 dedicated team of clinicians across 14 school districts in Douglas, Gage, Jefferson, Thayer, and York counties. Excellent candidates will be ready to assist schools in strengthening the ESU5 Wellness 4ALL Program, provide support to individual students, as well as being a support to schools at a systems level. Qualified candidates should possess experience in working with youth with various mental health, social, socioeconomic, and academic needs. This position will provide problem-solving expertise at the district, school, and individual student levels.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Counseling, Social Work, School Psychologist or other related behavioral health field is required. Preferred candidate will hold licensure in Nebraska as an LMHP, LIMHP, LICSW, PLMHP or be working on supervised experience toward full licensure.
