Superintendent – Douglas County West Community Schools

Douglas County West Community Schools seeks applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The District is located in Valley in Eastern Nebraska, with a PK-12 enrollment of 1,105 students. The District has progressive, dedicated, and experienced staff and administrative teams; modern, updated facilities in a single campus layout; strong community support and a small-town feel with proximity to the Omaha area; and is fiscally responsible with a record of maintaining or reducing levy while investing in facilities.

The Superintendent of Schools provides leadership and supervision to the faculty, staff, and students of a Nebraska school district in accordance with the policies and directives of the district’s Board of Education.  Candidates must possess or be able to acquire by the opening date of the position, a Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate endorsed fully or provisionally for the PK-12 Superintendency.   An Educational Specialist degree, Doctorate in Educational Administration, or an equivalent credential approved by the Nebraska Department of Education is required for this position.
