School Psychologist

Columbus Public School District is hiring a School Psychologist.  The school psychologist will be able to recommend appropriate remediation programs for students’ needs to the staff, parents and other community agencies.  The Psychologist will also assist and guide educational staff in observing, describing, and referring students in need of special education services.  They will also assist parents and educational staff in developing and implementing behavior modification programs.

Salary is determined by years of experience and education. 

Base salary for 2024-2025 school year starting at $48,240-$69,023 + $12,000 Cash Stipend. ($1000/month to be used for purchase of health/dental insurance or may be taken as cash).

Starting August 1, 2024.

  • $2,500 signing bonus
  • All years of experience may be granted.
  • Extended duty compensation
  • CEUs accepted for salary schedule movement after employment.
  • Must hold a NE Teaching Certificate with the proper endorsement.

These are related to programs covered under Title 92, Chapter 51 of the Nebraska Department of Education.  Programs funded by Federal Grant funds may have additional requirements.
