Columbus Public School District is seeking instructors for the 2026-2027 school year, to engage students to meet their academic potential using high quality curriculum.

- Extra duty opportunities may be available.
- Teachers at CPS qualify for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
- Base pay of $41,950
- Sign-on bonus $1000
- Special Education bonus of up to $2500 and all years of experience may be granted if deemed a hard-to-fill position. Stipend for additional caseload.
- $1000 monthly stipend for insurance or cash
- 3 days of annual personal leave
- 10 days of annual sick leave
- Paid summer training and on-boarding

Description: Certified Teacher
Job Summary: This is the application page for general teaching candidates to submit their materials if they do not currently see an opening in their endorsed or desired area.
Qualifications: Must have or be eligible for a Nebraska Teaching Certificate.
Working Conditions: 90% indoors, 10% outdoors. 75% standing 15% sitting 10% stoop, bend, or squat. Light lifting < 15 lbs.
Application Procedure: Complete the online application and upload necessary supporting documents, including your resume, transcripts, and reference letters.
Selection Procedure: Your application will remain on file for one calendar year and when an opening occurs meeting the criteria of your application your materials will be automatically transferred to that Job ID.

Salary is determined by years of experience and education.
Base salary for 2026-2027 school year starting at $41,100/year + $12,000 Cash Stipend ($1000/month to be used for purchase of health/dental insurance or may be taken as cash).
Up to 7 years of experience and all degree work accepted for placement.
$1000 Sign-on bonus.
Starting August 3, 2026.
