Columbus Public School District is hiring an elementary special education teacher.  Time will be split between both Emerson Elementary and West Park Elementary Schools with a start date of January 2, 2024.  The teacher will collaborate with the general education teachers to ensure that accommodation is in place while the student is in the general education setting.  The instructor will develop students’ cognitive, emotional, and social capacities for learning. The teacher will also maintain compliance on all special education procedures, timelines, and documents such as Individual Education Program (IEP), progress reporting, parent notification, consents, and evaluation processes.
