ELA/Intervention Teacher

The Cody-Kilgore School District is seeking an experienced and dedicated educator with a strong background in English Language Arts (ELA) to support district-wide academic goals. This position will primarily involve teaching High School ELA courses, with additional responsibilities providing ELA intervention support for students in grades 3–12, based on identified needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach High School English Language Arts courses aligned with state standards.

• Provide targeted ELA intervention for students in grades 3–12 as needed.

• Use data-driven instructional practices to support student growth and achievement.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet individual student needs.

• Implement effective classroom management and instructional strategies.

• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress.

• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement in English Language Arts (or ability to obtain).

• Experience teaching ELA at the secondary level preferred.

• Knowledge of literacy intervention strategies across multiple grade levels.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to student-centered instruction and continuous improvement.
