Head High School Football Coach
Chase County Schools is accepting applications for a Head High School Football Coach to lead our tradition-rich program beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. We are seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered leader who is committed to building a positive culture, developing athletes, and continuing the strong legacy of Longhorn football.

Join a program supported by an exceptional community, outstanding facilities, and dedicated student-athletes. Chase County Schools is classified as NSAA Class C (final C1 or C2 classification will be determined in December based on NSAA enrollment numbers).
Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school football program

Provide vision, leadership, and organization for both in-season and off-season activities

Develop athletes at all levels through skill instruction, strength and conditioning, and character development

Supervise and mentor assistant coaches
-
Communicate effectively with athletes, families, staff, and administration
-
Ensure compliance with NSAA rules and district policies
-
Collaborate with the activities director and school administration to support the overall mission of Chase County Schools
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous coaching experience, with head coaching experience preferred
-
Knowledge of effective coaching strategies, player development, and program management
-
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
-
Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented environment
-
Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain appropriate coaching authorization
-
Willingness to contribute to additional school duties or teaching assignments (if applicable)
Position Details

Coaching stipend based on district salary schedule

Possible teaching or school employment positions available depending on licensure and district needs

Start date: Summer 2026, with off-season coordination beginning sooner as appropriate
