Commercial Construction Technology Instructor

An Associates degree in Construction Technology or a related field and five (5) years collective relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and three (3) years collective relevant work experience. Applicants should have experience with a variety of construction applications including new construction. Applicants should have strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Preferred: Experience with leadership and supervision. Experience with both residential and commercial construction. Familiarity with evaluating and assessing students. Working with industry partners to create curriculum for a commercial construction certificate.
The successful candidate will be eligible for a hiring bonus.

May be located in Kearney or Hastings.

As an instructor in the Construction Technology program (CNST) at the Kearney Learning Center, the successful candidate can expect to teach Construction courses during days and evenings in Residential and Commercial Construction. Instructors teach construction techniques such as safety, construction tools and use, layout, blueprint reading, framing, interior and exterior construction through a hands-on approach to a diverse student population with varying learning styles. Evaluation and assessment of student progress toward program completion awards including certificates in residential and commercial construction.
