Junior High Social Studies Teacher

Cathedral of the Risen Christ School is seeking a highly qualified, skilled, innovative, and enthusiastic Social Studies teacher for grades 7th and 8th.  The social studies teacher also teaches 7th grade theology.

Cathedral of the Risen Christ School is a Pre-K-8th grade school that is dedicated to forming disciples of Christ through academic excellence, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to student growth. We partner closely with families and our parish community to create our school family.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based Social Studies instruction for 7th and 8th grade
• Create a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment rooted in faith and belonging
• Use effective instructional strategies informed by student development and learning theory
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
• Integrate appropriate technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and content integration
• Maintain professional standards consistent with the mission and values of the school

Qualifications:

• Valid Nebraska teaching certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of Cathedral School.
