Applies pedagogical knowledge in a real-world classroom setting, helping plan, deliver, and assess lessons to support student learning and development under the guidance of a certified mentor teacher.
The Student Teacher is supervised jointly by a cooperating (mentor) teacher and a university field supervisor. Regular evaluations and observations will be conducted throughout the placement.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the mentor teacher to plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.

Instructs students in whole-class, small-group, and individual settings.

Uses various instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners.

Assesses student progress through formal and informal assessments.

Reflects on teaching practices and participate in regular feedback sessions with the mentor teacher and university supervisor.

Manages classroom behavior effectively and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Participates in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events when appropriate.

Maintains confidentiality and follow school policies and ethical standards in education.

Willingness to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve teaching practice.
Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a teacher education program required.

Completion of relevant coursework in pedagogy, child development, and curriculum design required.

Additional Information
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
