Bloomfield Community Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our team for the 2027-28 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about science, committed to student success, and eager to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire students to explore the world around them.

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Teach high school science courses in accordance with Nebraska State Standards.

  • Create a positive, engaging, and student-centered classroom environment.

  • Develop hands-on laboratory experiences that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

  • Collaborate with staff to support student achievement and school improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with the appropriate Science endorsement (or the ability to obtain one).

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Passion for science education and student learning.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community.
