BSDC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our on-campus educational program serving our individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in meeting students where they are, teaching with purpose, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary treatment and support environment.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and are working to grow academically, emotionally, and personally. As a BSDC Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students reconnect with learning, build confidence, and develop skills that support their long-term success.
Position Details:
- Position Title: Teacher
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Salary: Starting salary is $43,056, with additional pay based on degree level and years of experience. Salary will be set in accordance with the SCATA Contract.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Teacher at BSDC, you will:
• Develop and implement both group and individual lesson plans for daily learning experiences.
• Maintains accurate and complete records as required by laws, policies, and regulations.
• Instructs students utilizing a variety of classroom methods, adapting methodology and instructional materials to meet student needs, abilities, and IEPs.
• Assigns and grades class work and homework; prepares, administers, and grades tests.
• Establishes and implements behavioral protocols; observes and evaluates student behavior, performance, social development, and physical health in collaboration with BSDC’s behavior support team members.

Minimum Qualifications: Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Knowledge of Nebraska State Standards and Rule 10

Experience teaching students with developmental disabilities

Strong classroom management skills
