Elementary Opening(s)
Battle Creek Public Schools is accepting applications for two Elementary Education Teacher (Pre-K – 6th Grade) openings for the 2027-28 school year. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement. The current open positions are Preschool and 1st Grade, but realignment of grades can occur to meet the best fit for all involved, including new hires. Extra duties are available with this position, but are not required.

The district offers a competitive salary with a 2026-27 base of $40,000. New hires in their first or second year overall start on step 3 on the wage scale, which is $43,200 for this school year. Battle Creek Public Schools also offers full family health insurance and employee dental insurance. All years of experience will be accepted with this position. The 2027-28 school will begin approximately August 10th.
